“1989年，家人带着我来秦皇岛旅游，让年仅12岁的我有机会现场观看了第五届亚洲帆船锦标赛。当时看着运动员在海面上乘风破浪，对于一个来自内陆城市的孩子来说，感到非常震撼。”5月31日，来自郑州的游客陈鹏远说，“这次趁着端午节假期，我带着家人再次来到秦皇岛，巧的是又碰上了亚洲帆船锦标赛，真的是缘分不浅。”

5月31日至6月8日，2025年ILCA亚洲（公开）帆船锦标赛在北戴河新区远洋蔚蓝海岸举办。这是我国连续第三年举办此项赛事，也是我市时隔36年再次举办洲际帆船赛事。

1989年9月17日，第五届亚洲帆船锦标赛在我市举办，这是我市首次举办国际帆船赛事，在这届比赛的全部7个项目中，我国选手斩获4项冠军。次年，北京亚运会帆船项目的举办再次在我市掀起了帆船运动的热潮，同时也点燃了更多人心中的帆船梦、航海梦。

我市被誉为中国帆船运动的“摇篮”和“福地”。帆船运动在这里的发展可以追溯到20世纪50年代，在中国帆船运动刚刚起步的时候，专门从事帆船教学的河北省航海运动学校在这里挂牌成立，这里也成为国家队以及各省、市专业运动队的训练基地之一。

2020年夏天，为了更好地备战东京奥运会，国家帆船帆板队时隔27年再次来到秦皇岛这片海域进行集训。2021年7月31日，卢云秀在东京奥运会帆板女子RS:X级比赛中夺得冠军，实现了“升国旗，奏国歌”的目标，这也是中国帆船帆板队继殷剑和徐莉佳之后的第三枚奥运金牌；随后，毕焜在帆板男子RS:X级比赛中获得一枚宝贵的铜牌，实现中国男子选手在该项目上奖牌零的突破。

2022年3月16日，“中帆协北方总部基地”落户我市，市政府与中国帆船帆板运动协会、远洋集团控股有限公司共同签署《中国帆船帆板运动协会北方总部基地合作框架协议书》，三方将充分发挥各自优势，通过资源整合、优势互补、合作共赢，在项目推广、场地运维、活动组织、人才培养、产业引导等方面进行全方位合作。秦皇岛成为帆船帆板国家队、国家青年队、全国优秀后备人才集训的北方基地，全国青少年帆船联赛、全国帆船锦标赛（冠军赛）、中国家庭帆船赛等大型赛事活动定期举办城市。

作为本次赛事的举办地和中帆协北方总部基地所在地，远洋集团更是将打造帆船特色度假园区作为蔚蓝海岸园区的发展构想。远洋集团北京开发事业部副总经理、秦皇岛分公司总经理刘东朋介绍，远洋蔚蓝海岸力求将中帆协北方总部基地打造成为具备高质量的“培训、科技、医疗、教育、服务”五位一体化，全面提升运动员训练水平和运动成绩，“未来这里将成为全国功能最完善的、融合帆船体验、培训、赛事、会议、会展、医疗、科研以及帆船器材、装备生产、销售、租赁、维修等全产业链的示范基地。同时，园区也将在整体文化氛围上进行改造，突出秦皇岛帆船运动的特色。”

36年弹指一挥间，碧海扬帆向未来，帆船运动见证了我市近年来的长足发展。我市也将借此机会，围绕建设“全国滨海旅游目的地”，向世界讲好秦皇岛故事、传递秦皇岛声音，展示我市独特的地理优势与文化魅力。
